Umalas Villa aims to present a space program that can accommodate all the activities of its users, who are a large family with three generations. Umalas Villas design prioritizes comfort, intimacy, and privacy between family members. The villa can accommodate functional spaces, which are distributed over two floors. Upstairs there are three rooms for the owner's children, while downstairs there are two additional rooms and a master bedroom designed especially for the head of the family. An area for grandchildren and a large family room make this villa more than just a place to live, it is a place to strengthen relationships between generations.

One of the interesting design elements of Umalas Villa is the use of a 6-meter grid in space planning which aims to create efficiency in the building structure, as well as minimize waste of space. In addition,  this grid also allows for optimal natural lighting and ventilation, maintaining the freshness of the air and comfort of the space within the villa. The concept of large open spaces is also emphasized in the design of this villa, through the presence of an inner court or green space in the center of the building. The use of large openings, especially sliding doors, allows the dining room, living room, swimming pool, and bedrooms to be connected to the inner court.

The influence of Balinese culture is also felt in the use of materials used in this villa. One of the main materials used is Balinese natural stone, which gives a natural impression and is in line with the characteristics of local architecture. Ironwood is also used predominantly, giving a natural touch that adds depth and texture to each design element. The locality raised in the design of Umalas Villa is applied in the distribution of spaces in several blocks. As a tribute to Balinese culture, the design of this villa also pays attention to the flow of residents, invited to pass through several elements such as ponds, terraces, and gebyok doors (gates) before entering the main room.
